Lost in Neverland

May 10, 2016

The recently concluded Neverland x Raveolution that happened in McKinley West Festival Grounds last April 2, 2016 has been one of the most awaited music festivals of the year. Jam-packed with Philippines’ renowned DJs Marc Marasigan, Ron Poe, Deuce, Katsy Lee, Kat DJ, Callum David, Funk Avy, Those Damn Nerds, Toons, Everyday People, Pong Santos, and Franco Zarate combined by some of the biggest stars in the EDM industry: Galantis, Dannic, Firebeats, and Kura, the night was filled with epic colors and bright lights.

Neverland X Raveolution was filled with ravers all over the world; some from neighbouring countries while others who came all the way from Guam. NXR was indeed a night of colors! The festival was filled with fluid cannons spraying people with colorful paint. Food was not a problem during the festival as NXR was flowing with food and beverage concessionaires ready to serve the hungry ravers.

I went to Neverland x Raveolution with Miguel. We met up at Green Hills and went to the festival. We were lucky enough to catch Patty Tiu’s electrifying segmeny during the festival. She didn’t disappoint the crowd by playing her best mixes while setting the hype and energy for the international acts. At the latter part of the night, each International DJ began playing their epic sets for the crowd. My personal favorite was the swedish DJ duo, Galantis.

The DJ duo blew the crowd away as they perform their original tracks Gold Dust, Runaway, Peanut Butter Jelly and their newly released track, No Money. Midway during the segment, one of the production’s speakers was caught on fire but it didn’t hinder the crowd from enjoying the night. Everyone cheered loudly as soon as the production staff quickly resolved the issue. The crowd was dancing the night away as the DJ duo light the stage up with their hot music and bright lights. I really loved the lights used in their performance as it envisioned the goal of the event, Unite in Color.

Neverland x Raveolution was my first color and paint festival to experience. It was undeniably a remarkable one-of-a-kind experience music lovers will enjoy. I am looking forward to another great production under the music festival scene. Watch out for the Official aftermovie which will be released on their Facebook page soon.
